Terrorists attack Kyikanpyin border outpost, set fire to 25 houses in Warpaik Village

Terrorists attacked the staff quarters of No.1 border post near Kyikanpyin Village, Maungtaw Township, and set fire to dozens of houses in Warpaik Village in the township yesterday.
About five terrorists shot at the staff quarters from a distant hideout, but retreated when Tatmadaw troops fought back.
The attackers then set fire to Warpaik Village, destroying around 25 houses before withdrawing in a southeast direction.
The terrorists who were hiding in the village set fire to the homes when the troops of the Tatmadaw were conducting a clearance mission in the village.
The troops will continue to conduct clearance operations in nearby villages, it is learnt.
